Welcome to Mrs A Thomas’ and Miss Jayne’s ONNEN class 2024/25!
Shwmae! We are currently a class of 25 this year. We enjoy coming to school to learn new skills every day, play with our friends and practice our Welsh!
- Every week we have P.E lessons on a Monday afternoon – Pupils are to wear their P.E kit to school ready on this day – a white top, trousers/leggings/ shorts and suitable trainers.
- Homework is assigned on a weekly basis, towards the end of the week via Teams and is to be completed by the following week. We will have sometime in the week, in school, should pupils require any help or if they are not able to do so at home.
- We try our best to read most days, and the reading books are changed as needed. Please could pupils bring their reading files every day.
- As we are moving towards being a ‘Healthy school’ and if pupils wish to bring a snack for their morning break, can we please ask that pupils bring a healthy snack, i.e. fruit, crackers, yogurt etc.
Last term’s highlights- Some of our class learning highlights from last term include:
-Many sporting events and competitions (basketball, netball, rugby, football, cricket)
-Learning some Polish for European Day of Languages
-Visiting the local library
-Enjoyed a trip to the Whitland Abbey
-Took part in a whole-school recycling fashion show
-Visiting St David’s Avenue and socialising with the residents
-Enjoying our links with Dyffryn Taf school
-Raising awareness for: Racism, anti-bullying; wellbeing, Shoctober (learning CPR)
-Designing, making and selling items for our entrepreneur day
